Get started: create a band and invite your team
Every tour starts with a team. Before you can add gigs, schedules, or setlists, you need a band and members. In this guide, we walk through how to register for KIERTUE, create your first band, and invite your team.
The entire process takes about five minutes.
Step 1: Register
Go to kiertue.com and select "Start for free". You need an email address and a password to register.
Password requirements:
- At least 8 characters
- Uppercase letter (A–Z)
- Lowercase letter (a–z)
- Number (0–9)
- Special character (!@#$%^&*...)
When you register, you accept the terms of service with a single checkbox. You can read the privacy policy via a link – no separate acceptance is required.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. Click the confirmation link and then log in.
Step 2: Create a band
After logging in, you will see the band selection page. If you don't have any bands yet, you will see a prompt to create your first one.
Select "Create new band". A window opens where you enter the band name. After entering the name, press "Create band".
The band creator is automatically the Owner. The owner has all permissions: managing gigs, settings, and members.
Step 3: Invite your team
Once the band is created, go to the band menu and select "Band settings". There are two ways to invite members.
The easiest way: an invite link. In the Members section, select "Invite with a link", choose the role for those joining, and press "Create invite link". Share the link with your band, for example in WhatsApp – everyone joins with their own account, and you don't need to collect email addresses. The link is valid for 7 days, the whole band can use the same link, and you can revoke it at any time. The person joining gets the role selected for the link – admin access cannot be gained via a link.
The other way: add by email. Type the member's email address into the field. The app automatically suggests existing users as you type – select the right one from suggestions or type the full address.
Choose a role before adding:
- Admin – full editing permissions: gigs, settings, members, attachments
- Member – can edit setlists and songs, add guests to the guest list
- Viewer – view only and adding own guests to the guest list
Press "Add". The member will see the band on their own band selection page as soon as they log in. No separate invitation needs to be accepted.
Roles and permissions
KIERTUE uses four roles. Each has a different level of permissions:
| Role | Gigs | Setlists | Guest list | Settings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Owner | All | All | All | All |
| Admin | Add, edit, delete | Edit | See all | Edit |
| Member | View | Edit | Own guests | – |
| Viewer | View | View | Own guests | – |
The Owner is the only one who can transfer ownership to another member. The subscription slot is tied to the owner.
Member groups and visibility
In band settings, you can create member groups. Groups allow you to restrict the visibility of individual gigs: for example, if the band has touring and studio members, you can show certain gigs only to certain groups.
Admins and the owner always see all gigs regardless of groups.
Tips
- Band logo: You can add a logo from band settings. The logo appears on the band selection page and makes the app more visual.
- Multiple bands: You can create multiple bands with the same account. Each band is separate – its own gigs, members, and setlists.
- Pricing: KIERTUE costs €29.90/month per band. All members are included at no extra cost – whether there are 3 or 30. A 14-day free trial is included.
Summary
You have now created a band and invited your team. The next step is to create your first tour and add gigs.
