Venue details and attachments in KIERTUE
KIERTUE includes a venue database where basic venue info (name, address, city, capacity) is shared across all users. Contacts, technical info, and attachments are stored per band – when you add a tech rider, only your band can see it. This way the database grows for everyone's benefit while private data stays protected.
Venue details
For each venue, you can save:
- Name and address – city, country (shared with all users)
- Capacity – how many people can fit (shared with all users)
- Contact person – name, phone, email (per band, private)
- Technical info – a free-form field for technical notes (per band, private)
Basic info (name, address, capacity) is visible to all users. Contacts and technical info are private – only your band can see them.
Attachments: patches, riders, and more
You can attach files to each venue in three categories:
- Light attachments – light patches, lighting maps
- Sound attachments – sound patches, monitor maps
- General attachments – tech riders, floor plans, stage plots
Attachments are per band – when you add a tech rider, only your band can see it. This protects private information like phone numbers and contracts.
Avoiding duplicates
When you add a new venue, KIERTUE automatically warns you if a venue with the same or similar name already exists in the database. This prevents duplicate entries and keeps the data consistent.
Summary
The venue database is one of KIERTUE's most valuable features. Basic venue info is shared and grows with every user. Contacts and attachments stay private to each band.
